Art & Home Decor

Custom art, furnishings, rugs, textiles, decor, and finishing layers selected to complete the room with scale and restraint.

The finishing layer is still design

Art, rugs, textiles, furnishings, and decor are often the difference between a room that is furnished and a room that feels complete. The studio selects these layers in relation to the architecture, palette, and way the space will be used.

Scale matters here. A framed piece needs to belong to the wall, a rug needs to hold the furniture plan, and decorative objects need enough restraint to feel collected rather than crowded.

Finishing details should support the room, not distract from it.

The most memorable rooms often feel calm because the final layers have been edited. Texture, colour, artwork, upholstery, wallpaper, and accessories are chosen to deepen the design direction already in place.

This service can stand alone for focused finishing work or become the final phase of a broader Interior Design, Kitchen & Cabinetry, or Window Fashions project.

Planning details we consider

  • Furniture scale, upholstery, casegoods, rugs, and how each piece supports the room plan
  • Artwork size, subject, frame finish, wall placement, and sightlines from adjacent spaces
  • Wallpaper, textiles, pillows, drapery fabric, and the balance of pattern and texture
  • Decor, accessories, florals, seasonal layers, and the amount of restraint the room needs

Best starting point

Bring photos of the room, measurements for key walls, existing pieces that must stay, and any palette or finish decisions already made. The studio can then source pieces that finish the space without pulling it off course.

See how finishing layers complete real rooms.
